Utah Rental Agreement Can A Minor Be Held To A Housing Contract?

Can a minor be held to a housing contract? - utah rental agreement

When he was 17, I signed a lease in Utah 6 months with a 18-year-old. I went to a couple of months, but remains the tenants.

Now, after four years, I have a debt collection agency contacted the expense of the (cleaning, rent arrears occurred) on himself while in the other tenants of the apartment.

Am I obligated by the contract I signed at 17? Either these charges will be charged to the tenant because he was underage at the time? I find no statutes for the state of Utah, giving the owner / tenant laws relating to minors.

Normally it would not be binding. But it seems as if emancipated, in which case it is a binding contract.

Like everyone says, you must be at least 18 years old, tied a legal claim to a contract.

Annul a rule on a minor into a contract unless it has been emancipated. And live on their own, were likely. About Utah definition of emancipation.

I tried writing to the collection agency and tell them that the contract is void because they were underage when he signed, and moves on any given day and that cost of that date, you do not want that the contract void. The relevant data. It may be enough to stop bothering you too. You have really push to get out of your credit report if.
